THE LEGACY OF A HUMBLE MAN
CHÉRIF BOUKRIS
"La Maison Bahreïn draws inspiration from the legacy of Cherif Boukris, born in 1919 in Marsa Ben M'Hidi, Algeria. From a young age, he immersed himself in the fabric trade under the guidance of a master weaver. With his expertise and silk fabrics from France, Italy, and other countries, he built a reputation that transcended borders, overcoming numerous challenges. Today, the Maison pays tribute to his craftsmanship and indomitable spirit, shaped by values of authenticity and resilience, which permeate every creation and continue to influence the unique and bold style of La Maison Bahreïn.
From Passion to Creation
NADIR KELKOUL
Born on January 3, 1997, in Lille, Nadir Kelkoul grew up in a family where discipline and knowledge were the pillars of his education. From a young age, he developed a deep passion for the world of fashion. Although he lacked the means to acquire the luxury pieces he admired, he began creating his own collections, blending textures, colors, and styles. This thirst to explore the world of Haute Couture and understand this art gradually became an obsession. Over the years, Nadir Kelkoul discovered the richness of materials and the magic of styling, realizing that fashion is a unique way of expressing oneself freely. This growing passion led him to embark on the adventure of tailoring, opening his first women’s ready-to-wear boutique, marking the beginning of an extraordinary journey. Through his travels and experiences, La Maison Bahreïn was born, a brand that embodies not only a family heritage but also exceptional craftsmanship and fundamental values. Through La Maison Bahreïn, Nadir Kelkoul transforms his childhood dream into a reality. Each creation is a work of art, designed to honor his vision of Haute Couture and his love for innovation. La Maison Bahreïn is, above all, the meeting of art and material.

The Origins of La Maison Bahreïn
The history of La Maison Bahreïn is rooted in a profound inner quest. After traveling through numerous countries and discovering rich and varied cultures, Nadir Kelkoul confronted an existential question that few dare to ask : 'What do I truly love ?' This question, both simple and daunting, became the guiding thread of his life. Through his travels, he explored the wonders of a world full of surprises, revealing the beauty of differences and the infinite richness of humanity. These experiences opened his mind, but also led him to face himself alone, embarking on an even more important journey the journey of introspection. In this process, he began writing a personal narrative, a book that served as his mirror, illuminating his dreams, values, and deep aspirations. This writing became a key that helped him not only understand who he was, but also who he wanted to become.
CREATIVITY
Driven by the creative vision of Nadir Kelkoul, each piece of La Maison Bahreïn blends tradition and modernity. The ancestral patterns, reinterpreted with a contemporary touch, invite an emotional journey where each creation transcends fashion to become a work of art.

A Budding Artist from a Loving Mother
Guided by the story and grace of his mother, Nadir Kelkoul draws from her journey a profound source of inspiration. This woman, who proudly wore the Hijab despite the looks and judgments of others, imparted to him a lesson in dignity and resilience. During his adolescence, misunderstandings had distanced them, but a pivotal conversation changed everything. For his mother, the Hijab was not just a piece of fabric, but an act of faith, a sign of respect for her Creator, and a pillar of her identity. This revelation deeply moved Nadir Kelkoul, opening his eyes to the richness and inner strength of his mother. La Maison Bahreïn then became his tribute, a dedicated space for all women, where each Hijab reflects grace, determination, and refinement.
STREET ART & HAUTE COUTURE
Beyond conventional boundaries, the Founder and Couturier envisioned a bold and unique alliance: the Hijab and Street Art. Often seen as a form of grassroots urban expression, Street Art is in fact a powerful artistic language the whisper of collective outcries, a silent voice that resonates with strength and emotion. This emerging fusion between Haute Couture and Street Art is the result of a fascinating encounter, where prestige meets the people, creating a raw and authentic expression. A union of contrasts, celebrating creative freedom and art in all its forms.
